kakskukolme - 23

Itttt's tuesday, probably my favorite day of the week because it's nice and short. I had P.E. first thing this morning, we did yoga on those big balls, it was quite the work out however. Mrs. Won't-speak-english still won't and it's bugging me. It bugs my host dad a lot too, aha. I mean, I work hard in her class, I'm not just sitting in the back row, I'm always in the front, doing everything she does, and it's sort of humiliating because I'm always a step behind. She shouts when to change and what not, but uh, its in finnish, so of course, I can't understand her. Anyways, after gym I have music. The past two days we have been doing this three station thing. In station A we watch the Pink Floyd "Learning to Fly" music video without sound and have to make up our own music for it. In station B we play West African drums, which are really cool, I want one of those too...I want a lot of things...And in station C you go down to the IT classroom and do some internet stuff. Yesterday I was at station A and my group was really terrible at making up music, we just kind of hit the drums and strummed some chords and played some notes, but whatever, it was funny :] And then today I was in station A again with a different group because my yesterday group went to the IT class, which is all in finnish ! So the teacher put me in this new group, with two cute guys :] Aha, anyways, our music was even worse. Veikko, a new Veikko, not the one I've mentioned before, had us actually trying to play out the song with real chords and notes and stuff. It was terrible. But so hillarious, when we had to perform it, it was the longest four minutes of my entire life. Just strumming GGGG EEEE GGGG EEEE AmAmAmAm DDDD, oh gosh, it was hilarious. I was laughing during the whole thing which got the other cute one started, and then it all just fell to pieces...ah, good times :] After music we have lunch, we had porridge ! Which is insanely delicious, I'll have to learn how to make it for when I get back home. It's nothing like oatmeal, its just goooood. Uh and then I had psychology where we just talked about the different parts of the brain and what they do. I'm comfortable talking in that class now which is definitly a plus. And then I got to go home ! I caught the 13 15 bus home, it was smelly, as usual. Lauri was the only one home when I got here, I swear, that child is never in school, he leaves later than me and is always home before me. He made potatoes and ground meat for us to eat, I love that he can cook, it is so nice. Uh and then I watched some TV, did a little writing because I recieved a lovely letter from Jason today :] So thank you, I'm writing you back ! Oh! And I also bought some postcards at lunch today, so if y'all write back to the letters I sent, I can reply with a postcard ! Anyways, around 3 I decided to bake ! I found my cookie recipe online, converted all the measurments and proceded to make 43 chocolate chip cookies that were mighty delicious. I say were because this family is nuts. There are only 7 left. In four hours my host family, mainly Maria, her friend Sara, and Juuso have eaten 36 cookies. It is amazing. Maria and Sara each had eleven a piece! 11! These kids are psycho. But I guess whatever, I can always make more ? Anyways, so now everyone loves me because my cookies are delish. Juuso came into my room and was all "Jose [yo-say] the cookies is delicious!" aha I love his english :] After the hype of the cookies was over Maria Sara and I went and jumped on the trampoline for a while. We just played the whole, 1,2,3 boom game. Yanno, where you count and then sit to see who'll go the highest ? But in finnish you don't really count you say the phrase "En, yo [oo-oh], de [day], nyt [noot], salm, mak [mawk], ko!" It's fun, maria usually fliieeees. And then Lauri made us [yeah, he cooks a lot] scrambled eggs and ham. Then Maria and I went to sauna where it got to be about 110 degrees celcius, I was sweatin' like a pig, but it feels so unbelievably good. I wish I could bring a sauna home for you all. And now I am here, blogging away so that you can read about my life here in Finland which is so utterly amazing I can hardly believe it's actually happening.

THREE DAYS TILL SWEDEN !
