Looking back on today, it was actually full of a lot of surprises, those are always nice :] Let's start with the first. Actually, let's back track to last night. So I mentioned the hugeeee spider on my arm right ? And, like I said, I couldn't sleep. I am terrified of spiders, I know it's not really something to be scared of, but I don't like them. I went to bed around ten but everytime I felt the slightest touch I'd freak out and think it was a spider, yeah I know, real mature. So around 11 30 I decided I should move out into our living room and sleep on the couch. It worked for a bit, I managed to get to sleep. But then at 2 am I woke myself up with a coughing fit. I tried to keep it quiet because I didn't want to wake up the rest of the house. When I realized it wasn't going to end soon I moved back into my room and coughed in my closet :] I then climbed back into my bed, forgetting about the spiders. But then at 4 I woke up again, this time due to a runny nose. I hate being sick...I think I finally fell asleep again around 4 30 or so, only to wake up at 6 30 for school, gee, what a fun night..Well, my school day started off with Psychology, which I haven't had in forever, so I was excited for it. We again just talked the whole block, taking notes and discussing the different ways that the mind effects the body versus how the body effects the mind. After psychology I have spanish. We just did partner work in which Aino, the girl who sits next to me, we've become quite good friends, tried to teach me how to roll my r's. I almost got it down ! I roll them if they're in the middle of a word, but not if they start with it. I got my pop quizzes back, I failed almost all of them, but he still gave me a plus and said that I'm passing because of my effort :] So that was a nice surprise. OH! I forgot to tell about the very beginning of my day! So I woke up at 6 30, got dressed and then checked my email, only to find that one of my favourite teachers in the world, Mrs. Zapatka, had e-mailed me a lovely letter about her summer and her life. It was so wonderful, thanks again Mrs. Z ! Okay, so after spanish I had lunch, Annina and I found Piia so we sat with her and her friends, I didn't catch their names. We just had potatoes and sauce today, nottt the best, but bread is always nice. And then I had another 2 hour break until my finnish lessons, because the classes are all working on their "final projects" so we don't have any afternoon classes, and because I don't belong to one certain class, I have nothing to do ! So I sat in the hall and did sodoku, munching on peanuts. My cute friend Samuel stopped by and talked for a second, that was another nice surprise :] Around 1 50 I started walking over to the University, this time alone 'cause I couldn't find Chet. Today's lessons were fun, I sat by Peter and Caroline [I don't know how she spells it], they're both from the states. Peter is from Detroit and Caroline is from some other state...They were nice to talk to, although it sucks being the youngest one in there. I'm at least four years younger than everyone in there, except Chet, but he's almost 18 so I'm still the youngest. But oh well, the classes are still really fun. Afterwards I came home and ate some dinner, Harri was the only one home however, so it was really quiet. In the middle of my meal Harri suddenly remembered I got mail [post is what they call it here, so I'll probably divert to that as well] today ! My letter from my mommy and Mrs. Wilson. Thanks so much, I loved both of them, I'll send something back soon ! Around 5 30 Anna came home from, not England as I had previously mentioned, but Dublin ! I'm jealous, I'd love to visit Ireland. But she also brought with her surprise number, uh 4 ?, of today ! A new shirt, it's really cute, some fuzzy socks :], a traditional Dublin necklace, and some Irish fudge. It was so nice, it felt like home again, because dad always bears gifts when he comes home from business trips :D Although, funny thing about the socks. I brought probably 10 pairs of socks with me, but I don't wear them because I'm not really a sock person, and I've been able to get away with flipflops. But I think Anna thinks that I didn't bring any socks because just last week she came in with a brand new set of socks and just gave them to me. And now she's bought more for me, so I'm beginning to think she thinks that I didn't pack any....oops ! So now I have lottts of socks :] Anyways, I spent the rest of the night reorganizing my closet, sending emails to my former teachers [mr. sweet, the rjh office staff, mrs. fisher, and ms. arthur], and playing online poker !
