kakskytseiseman - 27

Monday, monday. The first sunny day in a long time. It started out this morning sitting at 0 degrees celcius [32 F], but warmed up by mid day and the sun was out by the afternoon. Art was fantastic this morning, we are working with watercolors now, it's a lot of fun. P.E. was alright as well. Although we had to walk across town, about 6 km, just to get to the gym in Hipposhalli. Good exercise, but not very fun...We played badminton today ! It reminded me so much of last year, I miss my P.E. crew, but I totally made us look good don't worry. We just practiced back hands and serving today, we get to play 2 on 2 tomorrow. Lunch was delicious, we had fish and tarter sauce with mashed potatoes, yummmm. And of course, rye bread :] Then I had a two hour break because I didn't have music class today. So for the first part I just sat in the hallway and drew in my notebook. I drew some more fruit :] Annina and I then walked downtown so that she could buy some food because she's really picky and doesn't usually like the school lunches. I think it's absurd because they're delicious, and free ! But oh well, she got a banana and some chocolate and we walked back up to the school and sat on some stairs. She had a conversation with these two girls and I sat there trying my best to understand what they were talking about. I got some of it, so that was nice :] I then had spanish which was actually really cool today because we got to meet the exchange student from Chile. She just walked around the classroom and we talked to her [well, we tried] in spanish. She's only been here for two weeks and she's not with Rotary, but she seemed nice. Her name was Lisset. After spanish I finally got to go home, it was 4 o'clock ! Ah, mondays are so long. But as I was waiting for my bus I ran into Jason and Casey, the mormon missionaries that run chill night. So they stopped and talked for awhile, it was nice. I got home and did some of my spanish homework and then I uploaded the pictures in the blog below. I hope you enjoy them, I really enjoyed my trip :] I got a confirmation email from a lady at the University today saying that I have been accepted into the Suomi 1 course. So my finnish lessons start tomorrow at 14 15 ! I'm pretty excited, kind of nervous...I'll have them every tuesday, wednesday from 14-16 and every friday from 10-12, all the way until december. But they are free, which is really nice. I am attending this weeks rotary meeting, hopefully I'll have something to share about it on thursday. I assume I will get to share with them how much I have learned so far, which isn't much, but at least it's something :] This weekend I also have District camp in Lahti. It's from Friday night to Saturday evening and all the rotary exchange students in district 1390 get to meet up with each other and hang out for a night. I'm really excited because I get to see a few of the friends I made back at language camp, I can't believe its already been a month since we left there. Oh, and before I turn in for the night, my host brother Lauri got his hair cut tonight. Or should I say butchered. He wouldn't let me take a picture tonight, but man, it's terrible. I'll try and get one soon, he has to live with it until friday ! Aha, have a nice night and thanks for reading :] Oh, and my finnish sentence for today is "Minulla on kaksi koiras. Ovät ihana." I have two dogs, They are cute. :]
